Ben Franks
« Back

A versatile player, Ben Franks has featured on both sides of the scrum in the first class representative arena. The Australian-born prop represented his country in age-grade tournaments in South Africa (Under-19) in 2003, and Argentina (Under-21) two years later. In 2008 he made the All Blacks for the first time and played at Thomond Park against Munster. A stress fracture of the foot sidelined Franks for much of the 2009 Super 14, but he returned as a substitute in the semi-final defeat to the Bulls at Loftus Versfeld. Franks scored his first try for the Crusaders in his 43rd match - the victory over the Cheetahs at AMI Stadium in 2010
