Sean Maitland

Tokoroa-raised wing Sean Maitland played in every Crusaders match in 2008, his first in Super rugby. Maitland spent 2005 and 2006 in the New Zealand Schools team and was a member of New Zealand's U19 World Cup winning side in 2007. Hamstring problems curtailed Maitland's season with the Crusaders in 2009 - he played only one game, scoring a try as a replacement against the Reds. He played very well for Canterbury last year, adding the ability to play fullback to his armoury.
