Joe Moody has been making his mark in the loosehead prop position since he debuted for Canterbury in 2011.
He impressed during his debut season for the Crusaders in 2013, earning a call up to the All Blacks end of year tour which unfortunately became unrealised due to injury in the ITM Cup Final. He got another opportunity in 2014, despite only returning from injury late in the Super Rugby season, making five appearances for the All Blacks during the Investec Rugby Championship.
Although he missed out on initial selection in the 2015 Rugby World Cup squad, injuries to both Tony Woodcock and Wyatt Crockett saw him called into the team and he fronted with the best of them. Moody now has 24 test caps to his name.
As a former rugby league junior and New Zealand wrestling representative who won a junior Commonwealth Games bronze medal and competed at the world junior championships, Moody is no pushover in the scrum.
