Luke Romano
Luke Romano's professional rugby career started with the Canterbury provincial team in 2009. He then debuted for the Crusaders in 2011 and went from strength to strength as he gained in experience. That culminated in selection for the All Blacks in 2012 and he went on to play 31 Tests.
A builder by trade, Romano was a promising cricketer until he was overcome by injury and made the switch to rugby.
Now in his 11th season with the Crusaders in 2021, Luke is the second most capped player in the current Crusaders squad, behind Sam Whitelock.
