About
Quinten Strange is a former Nelson College 1st XV Captain, who was selected as part of the successful 2014 NZ Schools side which won both games, beating Australia 34-24 and Fiji 58-0, and Quinten started on each occasion.
He debuted in the Tasman provincial side in 2016 at just 19 years of age, off the back of some impressive individual performances with the New Zealand Under 20 team where he scored in his debut, as well as three tries during the World Rugby U20 Championship, including in the final against Australia.
The following year Quinten made his debut for the Crusaders coming off the bench against the Sunwolves, winning 50-3.
In his third year for the Tasman Mako’s, Quinten was named vice captain of the side that won the championship for the first time 2019 and then again in 2020.
Quinten earned selection in the 2020 All Blacks squad, before his season was cut short due to an ankle injury during All Blacks training. In 2023 he was selected for the All Blacks XV Japan tour, and appeared in the starting lineup for both games.
He is on track to play his 75th game for the Crusaders in 2025.
