Tom Sanders

Tom Sanders returned home to the Crusaders in 2018, having made the Wider Training Group in 2015 before shifting to the Chiefs for the 2016 and 2017 seasons.

Born in Little River, Sanders spent three years in the Lincoln High School First XV and was also selected for the New Zealand Schools' academy at that time.

He made the Canterbury provincial team in 2014, represented New Zealand Universities and played in the New Zealand Under 20’s side that same year. 

A player who has been unlucky with injuries, Tom was impressive during the 2020 Super Rugby Aotearoa campaign.
