The BNZ Crusaders will play their final match of the pre-season this Thursday, when they travel to Waimumu to play the Highlanders in the annual Farmlands Cup fixture between the sides.

Head Coach Scott Robertson has named his 29-man squad for the match at Fred Booth Park, which includes nine current All Blacks in the starting fifteen. Sam Whitelock returns to captain the side for the first time in the 2018 season, supported by vice-captains Matt Todd and Ryan Crotty.

2018 will be the third year the BNZ Crusaders and Highlanders have contested the Farmlands Cup. In 2016, the inaugural match in Waimumu ended in a 19-all draw, while the BNZ Crusaders won last year's pre-season game in Darfield. Tickets for the match in Southland are sold out, with 8000  expected to attend.

The winning side will once again receive $5000 from Farmlands, to be donated to a charity of their choice. Should the BNZ Crusaders take out the match on Thursday, $5000 will go to the Rural Support Trust.
Kick off is 6pm, Thursday 15 February, at Fred Booth Park in Waimumu, Gore.
