Sam's Shout: BNZ Crusaders offer $10 ticket for farmers

The BNZ Crusaders, alongside the Rural Support Trust, have combined to offer farming families the opportunity to come to the footy this Saturday night with tickets priced at just $10 for adults and $5 for kids.
BNZ Crusaders Chief Executive Hamish Riach said the rural community has had a very tough time over the past couple of seasons, with droughts in North Canterbury and the more recent Mycoplasma bovis outbreak, so this game is a great opportunity to connect with rural Canterbury, and support an important fan base for the BNZ Crusaders: “Working with a number of our partners, we’ve been able to put together a really affordable ticket offer, which we hope will be a conversation starter in the rural community and allow families an opportunity to come along to the rugby this Saturday night to watch the Crusaders take on the Blues."
The offer has been endorsed by BNZ Crusaders Captain, Sam Whitelock, who has put his name behind the ticket offer – Sam’s Shout: “Coming from a farming background, I know how hard farmers work and some of the challenges they face on a daily basis. I'm also fortunate to know just how much support there is for the Crusaders in the rural community, so to have them in the stands on Saturday night will be a huge boost for the team in the last game of our regular season."
Andy Munro, Chairman of the Rural Support Trust, said the BNZ Crusaders have been a partner of the Trust for the last few seasons, and have been able to provide donations and also ticket offers to the rural community during that time: “We're grateful to have Sam and the Crusaders show their support for the Rural Support Trust, and we’re looking forward to a big turnout to repay the sentiment shown to our farmers and their families.”
The offer has been sent to farmers through Federated Farmers and via the Rural Support Trust database. If you require any more information on how to purchase a ticket, please contact the Rural Support Trust on Facebook.
