The BNZ Crusaders, together with Vbase, have announced today that they have halved the price of match tickets for the Rebels game on Saturday 8 June, for everyone who has attended a Crusaders home game in 2019.

The initiative is both a 'thank you' to fans for attending our last home game of the regular season, and an acknowledgment of some longer queue times at the Stadium in recent weeks. 

 "We had a fantastic crowd through the gates for the Blues match, but unfortunately the time it took some fans to get to their seats was longer than expected," BNZ Crusaders CEO Colin Mansbridge said.

 "The fan experience is hugely important to both the Crusaders and Vbase, and while we have been working closely together to get this right in recent weeks, we acknowledge that there were significant delays for our fans on Saturday night, which we understand was frustrating. By offering a substantial discount to those fans, we hope to see them back at the Rebels game for an improved experience."

As well as 50 percent off match tickets, to encourage fans to arrive early, venue operator Vbase will also provide 40 percent off the price of food at Christchurch Stadium's food and beverage units (excluding vendors), for all fans attending the Rebels game up until 7:15pm, 20 minutes prior to kick off. In addition, fans who purchase half price tickets will also receive a 31-day access pass to FAN PASS, powered by SKY Sport, valued at $58.99.

Vbase General Manager Chris Mintern said: "Vbase prides itself on creating a great fan experience, though on Saturday night we didn’t meet expectations at Christchurch Stadium. Safety is always our number one priority, and additional security measures are in place at the gates, however we need to find the right balance between customer service and venue security moving forward.”

Tickets for the BNZ Crusaders match versus Rebels are available via Ticket Rocket. Fans who have attended a game at Christchurch Stadium this season will receive an email and text with the promotional code they need to receive the discount.
