Tickets for the first Crusaders ‘home’ match against the Chiefs at McLean Park in Napier next month will go on sale on Monday 20th February

The match, to be held on Friday 9
th March, was moved from Christchurch when the new stadium was not going to be completed in time.

Hawke’s Bay Rugby are very excited to be hosting the Crusaders again in 2012 and CEO Mike Bishop is thrilled to be hosting the match “we are pleased to be able to welcome the Crusaders back to the Hawke’s Bay again in March, the region really got behind the team last year and we are expecting massive interest in the match.”

“The Crusaders enjoyed the Hawke’s Bay fans support and atmosphere at McLean Park last year and we really appreciated the opportunity to return in 2012” said Crusaders CEO Hamish Riach.

There are also Hawke’s Bay affiliations within the Crusaders, including wing Zac Guildford, fullback Israel Dagg and lock Ross Kennedy. The Chiefs squad includes Hawke’s Bay players Hika Elliot, Andrew Horrell,Tino Nemani, Brodie Retallick, Sona Taumololo, Ben Tameifuna and KaneThompson.

The new Christchurch Stadium in Addington is on track to be ready in time for the Crusaders second home match against the Cheetahs on the 24th of March.

Tickets for the McLean Park match go on sale on Monday 20
th February and can be purchased from www.ticketdirect.co.nz , or phone TicketDirect on 0800 224 224. Tickets can also be bought in person from the Hastings Opera House, Pettigrew Green Arena Taradale and Napier Municipal Theatre.
