Revenge for their season opening loss to Sir John Kirwins men was not the only motivating factor, the game also marked 100 super rugby appearances in the red and black for Andy Ellis.

Forceful surprise in Perth

In their last 16 matches the Western Force have walked off the park winners on only 3 occasions. So walking into NIB Stadium Perth, the Crusaders would have felt quietly confident of getting a result.
In the end they only came away with one bonus point as the Force threw out the form book and threw everything at the visitors.
