Few Crusaders members embody the spirit of being “One of Us” more than Dylan Naqova.

A familiar face in the stands for nearly three decades, Dylan has been part of the Crusaders family since 1998, when he first became a member at just eight years old alongside his grandmother at Lancaster Park.

Ask Dylan for his favourite memory, and he struggles to pick just one. From being there for every unforgettable home final to celebrating alongside the crowd during the legendary 2002 unbeaten season, his devotion has only deepened over the years.

One standout moment still brings a smile to his face: the Crusaders’ record-breaking 96-19 victory over the Waratahs, a game etched in Super Rugby history.

Looking ahead to the move into One New Zealand Stadium, Dylan has secured a Diamond VIP membership for 2026. For him, the choice was easy.

“I wanted the best seats in the house and a bird’s-eye view of the action,” he laughs, admitting that easy access to the bar is a welcome bonus too.

But what makes 2026 even more meaningful is accessibility. At Apollo Projects Stadium, Dylan only had one category with accessible seats to choose from.

At One New Zealand Stadium, members with accessibility requirements have the same choice as every other Crusader Member - across all membership categories, from General Admission through to Diamond VIP.

Like so many Cantabrians, Dylan sees the new stadium as more than just bricks and mortar.

“I’m looking forward to being a part of a big milestone in Christchurch and Canterbury’s history. We are finally getting our identity back since the 2011 earthquake took Lancaster Park away.”

One New Zealand Stadium represents not just a homecoming, but a chance to make new memories with fans, players, and management.

There’s one fixture Dylan has already circled on his calendar: the ANZAC Weekend Super Round.

“I’m super excited, it’s our first game against the Waratahs at One New Zealand Stadium, plus all the other teams will be here. The atmosphere with fans coming from everywhere is going to be massive.”

For Dylan, being a Crusaders member has always been about belonging.

“I just love the community vibes, especially in the disability members community. Everyone remembers each other, and even the players know who we are.”

Memories of players like Andy Ellis greeting him with a “Hey Dyls” at training remain special to this day.

“Member or not, Crusaders fans around Ōtautahi Christchurch, Aotearoa New Zealand, and the world are one big family… One of Us till the end.”

With accessible seating now available across every membership category at One New Zealand Stadium, the Crusaders are proud to ensure every fan has the chance to be ‘One of Us’.
