The Crusaders are proud to represent six provinces across the South Island, some of the strongest rugby regions in New Zealand.
Our connection with these provinces is what defines us. Our fans, members and players span South Canterbury, Mid Canterbury, Canterbury, Tasman, Buller and the West Coast.
Players were recently out visiting our fans together with some of our valued commercial partners, timed well to coincide with Provincial Round – a week celebrating where we come from and who we play for.
Tasman/Nelson has consistently been one of the most lucrative provinces for Crusaders players in recent years. The likes of David Havili, Leicester Fainga’anuku and Macca Springer all hail from this sunny little rugby haven.
Isaac Group helped to organise a trip to Victory School in the heart of Nelson and Henley School just south of the city, with players Zach Gallagher, Finlay Brewis and Tahlor Cahill coming along.
They organised the trip to acknowledge the impact of recent roadworks on the schools, and give back to a community they care about. Our players participated in a skills session with students and answered questions posed by the curious kids.
“Being able to take the Crusaders out with us to spend some time with schools impacted by our works, as a sign of our appreciation, it really opens the door for our teams to form connections with the local community,” said Kim Masina, Isaac Group Business Development and Sponsonships Manager.
“This aligns well with our core values especially “Be well, Do well” where we support each other to be healthy, happy, and making it happen in and out of work.”
A group of Crusaders also joined Temuka Transport for the South Canterbury RFU Holiday Programme at Temuka Domain, including Corey Kellow, Ioane Moananu, Jone Rova, Manasa Mataele, Seb Calder and Taine Robinson.
They played rippa rugby with kids and participated in a Q&A session in conjunction with the Highlanders.
The Crusaders community and our provinces make us who we are, and we hugely value the chance to get out of Christchurch to connect. Thanks to Isaac Group and Temuka Transport for facilitating these visits.
