The Crusaders are preparing to host the Sky Super Rugby Aotearoa Final in Christchurch this weekend, and fans who attend the match will also enjoy a performance by one of New Zealand's leading bands, the club has confirmed today. Wellington-based Drax Project will perform pre-match and at half-time in the Final.
Crusaders Head Coach Scott Robertson said it is exciting for the club to confirm a performance befitting a Grand Final: "Considering everything that is going on in other parts of the world at the moment, we know how fortunate we are to be able to host a live sporting event in New Zealand, so to be able to host a performance by one of the most popular bands in the country at the same time, is pretty unique and special."
The Sky Super Rugby Aotearoa Final between the Crusaders and the Chiefs will kick off at 7:05pm, Saturday 8th May, at Orangetheory Stadium in Christchurch. Gates open at 4:15pm for a curtain raiser game between St Andrew’s College and Nelson College, with Drax Project set to take the stage for their pre-match performance at 6:40pm. 13,000 tickets have now been sold for the Final - CLICK HERE to purchase.
