John Jones Steel signs two-game front-of-jersey sponsorship deal

Longtime Crusaders partner John Jones Steel (JJS) has signed a two-game front-of-jersey partnership for the club’s last two games of the season.

The Crusaders will close out the regular season with two games at Apollo Projects Stadium in Christchurch – the Blues on Saturday 25 May and Moana Pasifika on Friday 31 May.  The JJS logo will feature on the front of the Crusaders red home jersey for both games.

There are limited tickets still available to the Blues game – don’t miss your chance to witness the rivalry.

JJS has been a loyal commercial partner with the Crusaders for more than 10 years. Managing Director Frank Van Schaijik said he saw the front-of-jersey partnership as a unique opportunity with national brand benefits for JJS, and immeasurable community benefits.

“Over the 29 years of Super Rugby, the Crusaders have only had four brands on their jersey, so we wanted JJS to feature as part of this history and legacy in 2024,” Van Schaijik said.

“As a proud Canterbury company, we know the value of having the JJS brand on the front of this proud jersey, so this is an added bonus of our partnership”

JJS have supported the club for more than 10 years, with a particular focus on young players through the Crusaders Academy, development teams and the Under 20s programme.

“As we celebrate 60 years in business, it’s a proud moment for us to also show our support for the Crusaders who have given so much to this region and this community,” said Van Schaijik.

Crusaders CEO, Colin Mansbridge, was delighted with the additional support from Van Schaijik and the team from John Jones Steel.

“Frank has always been passionate about the Crusaders and we see this through his connection to so many people at the club – the players, coaches and management,” Mansbridge said.

“He’s committed to making a real difference at all levels, so the boys will wear the JJS brand with pride for the remainder of the season.

“Frank’s also contributing a large number of tickets to selected charities, schools and families to give them the opportunity to enjoy a Crusaders home game.”.
