Taha Kemara to join Chiefs for 2027 Super Rugby Pacific season

The Crusaders can confirm first five eighth Taha Kemara will join the Chiefs for the 2027 Super Rugby Pacific season. 

The 23-year-old has signed a one-year agreement with the Hamilton-based club, taking up an opportunity away from the Crusaders environment next season. 

Kemara says the opportunity to spend a season in Waikato playing for the Chiefs was one he felt was right for his current rugby journey. 

"The Crusaders have been incredibly supportive throughout this process and I'm grateful for everything the club has done for me,” Kemara says.  

Crusaders Head Coach Scott Hansen says: “We pride ourselves as an organisation for the care we have for our players as well as our people, and we support Taha who has requested to be back closer to his family.”
