Dom Gardiner debuted for the Crusaders in 2022 after a year in Crusader U20 and NZU20 sides. The young flanker is following in his father Gus’s footsteps by playing for the Crusaders and also plays NPC rugby for Canterbury. A former multi-sport athlete and first XV captain at St Bede’s College in Christchurch, Dom also played First XI cricket and hockey.

The same year he debuted for the Crusaders, Dom was selected for the All Blacks XV winning against the Barbarians and Ireland A.

A loyal Marist Albion club man, Dom has recently finished his commerce degree at University of Canterbury and loves a bit of golf in the off season.
