Dom Gardiner comes into his second season at the Crusaders after debuting last year. The young flanker is following in his father Gus’s footsteps by playing for the Crusaders and also plays NPC rugby for Canterbury. A former multi-sport athlete at St Bede’s College in Christchurch, Gardiner played First XI cricket and hockey, and was captain of the First XV.
