Rivez Reihana was in the Saint Kentigern College first XV from year 9, and captained the side in his last two years of school. He was selected for the NZ Schools side for two years and in 2017, he was part of the Waikato Academy.
In 2019, he played his first NPC game for Waikato, earning himself the Rookie of the Year award for the club. In the same year, he made the NZ U20 side and scored 24 points across the Oceania and World Rugby Under 20 Championships.
In 2021, he was named in the Chiefs Super Rugby squad and played for the Waikato based side until 2023. In the same year, he made the move to Northland, where he has earned more than 50 NPC caps. In 2024, he was their top point scorer for the season.
After an Instagram DM from Crusaders Assistant Coach, James Marshall, Rivez made the move to Christchurch and debuted for the Crusaders in 2024; scoring seven points against his old club- the Chiefs. He was then selected for the Māori All Blacks side for their Japan tour in the same year.
Rivez is currently studying Psychology and Sports Science, enjoys spending time at the beach and reading books on Greek Philosophy.
