Rivez Reihana was part of St Kenntigern College first XV side from year 9, building up to captaincy in his last two years. He was selected for the NZ Schools side for two years and in 2017 he was part of the Waikato Academy. 2019 proved to be just as successful for Rivez as he played his first NPC game for Waikato, earning himself the Rookie of the Year award for the club. NZU20’s came calling in 2019 and Rivez scored 24 points across the Oceania and World Rugby Under 20 Championships.

Moving to Northland provincial side in 2021 he was their top point scorer for the 2024 season. Rivez now has over 50 NPC games under his belt.

After an Instagram DM from Crusaders Assistant Coach, James Marshall, Rivez made the move to Christchurch and debuted for the Crusaders in 2024 putting seven points on his old club. The same year he was selected for the Maori All Blacks side for their Japan tour.

“I enjoy the people the most,” says Rivez, “the fans have been really cool”.

Rivez is currently studying Psychology and Sports Science, enjoys spending time at the beach and reading books on Greek Philosophy.
