Dan Perrin played over 60 games of provincial rugby, majority for Tasman Mako and played for the Crusaders during 2009 and 2010 seasons.

He took on an Assistant Coaching role for Tasman in 2022, as well as spending time with the Crusaders Academy. His impressive work across the two led him to become the Crusaders forwards coach as of the 2023 season.
