2Degrees Named as Presenting Partner for 2025 Crusaders Hall of Fame Charity Lunch

“If you want to be part of a safe and caring community you need to make it”

The wonderful words of Dame Sue Bagshaw set the tone for the Crusaders Hall of Fame in 2024, and it was through the generosity of the 700 guests present that saw the event raise over $120,000 for the chosen charity - Youth Hub Christchurch.

The Crusade with Heart Foundation has today confirmed the date for the 2025 Hall of Fame Lunch, as Friday 9 May, and alongside the Crusaders Rugby Club, is thrilled to confirm that 2degrees will be the presenting partner of the Foundation’s marquee corporate event.

Crusaders CEO, Colin Mansbridge, commented that 2degrees is a longtime partner of the Crusaders and their support of the Hall of Fame shows their commitment to the values that the Club hold dear, and a cause that is at the heart of the local Crusaders community.

“Through fighting for fair, we know how much 2degrees care about people, and to have their support as the presenting partner of the Hall of Fame really shows their commitment to wanting to make a real difference in our community” commented Mansbridge.

“We are very humbled that Youth Hub Christchurch has again accepted our offer as the chosen charity for this event, and with the support of 2degrees we have aspirations to raise more than we did last year. We had wonderful feedback from our guests around supporting a unique and local legacy project that will support our future generations in many ways for years to come” Added Mansbridge.

Mark Callander 2degrees CEO, expressed how incredibly proud 2degrees is to be able to partner on this fantastic event. “The Hall of Fame celebrates those who have made the Crusaders the force they are, and it’s always a privilege to work with organisations that recognise hard work, determination, and those who make a difference.”

“When you couple this with an event that raises substantial donations for incredible charities such as Youth Hub Christchurch, then it ticks the all the boxes for 2degrees.”

The Hall of Fame enters its third year in 2025 and following the success of the last two events at theChristchurch Convention Centre, Te Pae, an additional 300 guests will be added to take the total attendance to over 1,000 on the day. Tables of ten will be available for the public and wider business community to purchase early in the new year.

The Crusade With HeartFoundation was set up by the Crusaders with the clear vision of making a real difference in our community.  Alongside the Hall of Fame, the Long Run is confirmed for January 2025 and a new event is set to be announced in the near future.

The Hall of Fame creates an opportunity for our current and past players, fans, members, partners and community to come together, connect and reminisce about stories of our legacy.

We have the opportunity to celebrate three new inductees in 2025, who will sit alongside our current six inductees of Wayne Smith, Justin Marshall, Todd Blackadder, Reuben Thorne, LeonMacDonald and Norm Maxwell.

We are looking forward to making this the best Hall of Fame so far, and we know that with the support of 2degrees we are off to the best start possible.
