Here it is whanau, the official Crusaders 2025 calendar of events. More than just a draw and fixture dates, we have a range of events and activities coming up connecting our members and fans with the team.
We kick off the year with The Long Run on Friday 24 January right here at Malvern and Rugby parks. It’s the third year we’ve done this one and it grows bigger every year. Once again the huge community day out will be raising money for Child Cancer Foundation. Expect crowds, milestones and a full team training in the middle of the action.
The rugby starts on Friday 31 January with a preseason fixture versus the Blues at Kirwee Rugby Football Club. We host the northerners at the heart of rural Canterbury, with tickets on sale now. All 2025 Members will get free access to this one. Kickoff 3.30pm.
We then take on the Highlanders at Invercargill’s Rugby Park on Thursday 7 February. We have a longstanding rivalry with our brothers from the south and this will be yet another chapter written. Kickoff is at 2.30pm Tickets are available for this one from 14 December.
Round 1 of Super Rugby Pacific 2025 is happening on Friday 14 February right here in Christchurch. It’s a Valentine’s Day special at Apollo Projects Stadium as we host the Hurricanes for the first of two fixtures against the capital-dwellers.
We’ll have our first bye week in Round 3 and return with back-to-back afternoon home games. We welcome the Reds on Sunday 9 March with a 3.35pm kick off, and the Western Force on Saturday 15 March with a 4.35pm kick off. The Force game is also Kids Round so expect some epic kids entertainment at the game.
On Friday 9 May we will once again hold our annual Crusade With Heart Foundation Hall of Fame Charity Lunch. We’ll once again be raising much-needed funding for Youth Hub Christchurch, a local trust with a goal to “enable all young people in Ōtautahi the opportunity to lead healthy, safe and valued lives, fulfilling their potential and vibrantly contributing to their community”.
