This Friday night, we are facing the Highlanders at home.

A true Southern derby, a fierce rivalry and a game that’s sure to be a battle on the field.

But this game against the Highlanders is more than a contest; this round is more than a game.

We are brothers in arms. We fight hard on the pitch, but we stand together off it.

It's a chance to bring awareness to something bigger than rugby; the wellbeing of our mates, our brothers, our fans.

We understand our connection is what gives us strength – on the field, in the stands, and in our lives.

But we also know a lack of connection can lead to isolation, to darkness, to poor mental health.

We see it in our communities, and we need to keep talking about it.

New Zealand has some of the worst mental health statistics in the world, and we know men often suffer in silence.

Well, silence isn’t the answer.

This is our pledge:

  • To embrace connection and encourage open conversations.
  • To break down the stigma that prevents men from reaching out.
  • To stand in solidarity with those who are struggling, whoever they may be.
  • To check in, because we see you.

So, at the game this Friday night, we’re encouraging our fans to stand proudly, with their arm around their mates, and join us in a moment against silence.

A moment for everyone to talk, to reach out to their mates, and to make as much noise as they can, to show support for our men.

Tickets are on sale here.

You can take a mate for free thanks to John Jones Steel.

So, grab your mates and a 2-for-1 ticket, and come and be a part of something bigger than rugby.
