Team named for Blues Clash

It's only been three games since the last match up between the Crusaders and the Blues, and the old foes are ready to go to battle again.

"They've got themselves into a position where they're still in control of their own destiny, so it'll be another good match up,” says Head Coach Rob Penney.

Codie Taylor is back in the mix again this week after an enforced concussion stand down, he joins Tamaiti Williams and Fletcher Newell in the front row.

Ioane Moananu will be Taylor's replacement on the bench, following a standout season so far.

He's scored four tries in three games and was Fantasy Player of the week last week.

"Ioane has proved he is worthy of a place in this team and can regularly hold down his place. He's a well-respected member of the team and his lineout throwing is classy, his scrummaging is impressive, and he always manages to get the crowd off their seats at games, "says Penney.

Antonio Shalfoon is back starting at lock paired with Scott Barrett.

Cullen Grace and Ethan Blackadder will remain at blindside and openside respectively while Christian Lio-Willie will keep his starting spot at number 8.

The backline remains completely unchanged this week.

Noah Hotham and Taha Kemara will start at halfback and first five.

Sevu Reece and Chay Fihaki will keep looking to make an impact on the wings while Captain David Havili and Levi Aumua will be in at centre.
