About
Playing in Kerikeri High School’s Condor 7s team secured Tamaiti Williams a scholarship to attend St Kentigern College where he joined their first XV, originally playing loose forward until he transitioned to prop.
In 2019 he was selected for the Crusaders Academy and the NZU20 side, scoring three tries in five games. Tamaiti earned himself selection for the Maori All Blacks the following year, where he was the youngest member of the squad and continued to be selected in 2021 and 2022. Later in the year he was also selected for the All Blacks XV, beating Ireland A and narrowly losing to the Barbarians.
Amongst his NZ representations, Tamaiti debuted for the Crusaders in 2021 coming off the bench for a 29-6 win against the Blues, and is due to make his 50th appearance in 2025.
His Super Rugby performances led Tamaiti to an All Blacks selection for the 2023 World Cup, and he has scored 15 points (three tries) across18 caps.
Tamaiti is our ambassador for the Child Cancer Foundation, recently aiding the Crusade With Heart Foundation’s annual Long Run to raise money and awareness for CCF.
